Overview /_Project Outline

This figure shows the relation of the 7 work packages of HarmoniCOP. Starting with a framework of analysis, we further assessed "social learning", "ICT tools" and the different national approaches to participation. In parallel to this work, the case studies were conducted. 17 teams from Belgium, Germany, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom carried out the case studies in the nine respective countries. The case studies functioned as a means of gaining a deeper understanding of participatory processes needed to implement the European Water Framework Directive. A separate work package "integration" guaranteed the logical flow and connectivity between different work packages and further led to the publication of a handbook and dissemination of project findings.
